Did anyone pre register at their hospital of choice to speed up registration?

It's probably not necessary but it'll save you time and trouble when you come bursting through the hospital doors, ready to pop out the baby! 😂 I filled out mine because I had a couple of specific requests for the nurses, and didn't want to have reiterate myself a million times to them. 😊

Oh, I didn't know it was an option to not register until you got there. I just registered today at 32 weeks and I thought I was really late registering.

My hospital offers an online pre-registration. After that they gather the needed documentation and calculate your estimated balance due. I went by the hospital after an ob appt and signed my papers. I was given the option to pay my balance then or wait until after the birth to set up a payment plan. I felt like I'd rather do it ahead than have to sit through contractions and pay attention to paperwork.

Talk to your insurance company, because apparently I didn't I didn't even know that I did. I got a letter from my insurance carrier that stated that they approved my maternity status, and they contacted the hospital that I'm delivering at and everything is all set. It was great letter to receive, one less thing to worry about.

The hospital here requires it before they'll give you a tour. So we did that and all it was, was 4 signatures and a couple initials. Then they went over our birth plan and medical history and that was it! Didn't take long at all but definitely not something I'd want to do in labor.

Yes. My doctor recommended it. I also had the option of doing it online. Why wait when you can do it now?
