So i currently live in New York and my SO lives in New Jersey which is only about 45min away, we’re currently trying to plan out our baby shower which will be in June here in New York but my issue is that he mentioned to me about having a separate baby shower out in jersey for his family and friends, I was really bothered by that because I thought this was an event we’re both families and friends come together everyone gets to meet, support, eat, play games and just get to know one another.

He’s telling me his reasons for wanting to do so is because most of his friends don’t like New York but my response was it’s not about what state your currently visiting it’s your reason for visiting, If your friends love and wanna support you they’ll travel the distance.

We choose to have the shower in New York because most of his friends and family drive opposed to mine.

Please let me know if I’m wrong for not agreeing to have two baby showers, it’s a waste of money and unnecessary to me
