My newborn is screaming instead of latching

Until literally today I’ve had no problems feeding my 5 day old. She latched right away in the hospital and although we did struggle with the left side a little, over all we had been doing pretty well! Tonight it’s almost like I have a completely different baby. She screams, cries and gets herself super worked up then can’t latch. It’s almost like she doesn’t even give herself time to latch before she gets frustrated and melts down. My boob will literally be in her mouth and she just won’t latch on. She will carry on until she’s hot and red, so I soothe her the best I can to try to calm her before trying to feed her again. I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong, what to do or how to make her feel better. Her cry has been kind of high pitched.

Other POSSIBLE contributing factors are she hasn’t pooped in almost 48 hours (I’ve already called her doctor) and she will not burp after feedings.
