Is ultrasound dating always right??

Got my bfp on 1/26 at what I thought was 11 dpo. Pretty sure I ovulated on the 15th. From my calculations I’m 7w. Went for my ultrasound today and she says I’m 6w2days. Thought my due date was 10/8 but now it’s 10/13. If I ovulated 5 days later (20th) then how the shit did I get a positive on the 26th?? I’d have only been 6dpo!

implantation happens days after ovulation and you aren't pregnant until implantation happen which is why the dating is different than you thought

Dating scans can be off by a couple days, so if it's off a couple days and you ovulated just a couple days later..could make since. I got my bfp 9/16 thought I was 4w, turned out to be 3w..which meant I woulda got my bfp about 7dpo.. so I'm sure the scan and my ovulation calculations were both off a day or 2..

With my first she measured right on target, and was born 2 weeks early. With my second she measured a week behind. I went back at 12 weeks for a dating US and she was measuring only 3 days behind my projected due date. She ended up being born a week early. With my third, he measured 9wks and 4 days at what would have been 10wks and 1 day. She kept my projected due date and I went for an us at 13 weeks and he measured where he should be! Baby’s grow at different rates and implantation happens at different times for everyone, plus even if they say “this is your due date” it’s just an estimate. Baby’s come when they want !
