Miscarriage?

I need your help...I was in extremely pain today which I thought were period cramps. But the pain was soooo extreme I couldn't even walk or stand...I felt like I was giving birth mind you I've never been pregnant but the pain was extreme. My husband got home from work and when I got up I felt like something was coming out of me. I went into the restroom and there was a lot of blood and this huge mass or blood clot not sure what to make of it. The pain is now gone and I am not sure if it was just tissue mass or I had a miscarriage. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.
