To breakup or not?

I've been with my boyfriend for over a year now but the spark is seriously dying. We live together and he's a great guy, but he's not doing much with his life and letting himself go a little. When we first started dating he would try to look nice for me and now it seems like he doesn't care. I'm in college and he just works a desk job. He's six years older than me.. and here's the major catch. I just met this guy at my school whoe shares the same values as me and is devoted to school. He's enlisting in the army and he's so fine. I'm seriously torn apart because I live with my current boyfriend, but I feel like I could be missing a great person. What would you ladies do?
