Nuva Ring/Bleeding

Ive been on the ring for almost a year now and ive never had spotting in between my actual periods, and i always try to put in my calendar when i put the ting in so i know when to the it out, but this past month it showed i took it out Saturday instead of Friday like normal, so i just thought i put it in my calendar wrong so i put the ring back in the next Friday, its the Wednesday after putting my ring in and its almost like im spotting? could it be i put it in to early before my period so its leftover? or something else because ive also had sex that friday when i put my new ring in
