Best way to get milk production?

I post so much on this site, but I guess I'm getting so close to being a mommy I all of the sudden have tons of questions that I feel only mommy a can answer!:p does anyone know the best way to get milk production in good? My friend bought me mothers milk, but I've also heard that Nursing Time Tea is great. Can anyone compare the two? Or have any other suggestions? I REALLY want to breastfeed and all of my mommy friends keep telling me to not be disappointed if I can't because I dont produce enough milk, or my supply doesn't come in because it happened to them. It sort of puts me down and scares me.

I do fenugreek 3 x a day (warning: really really makes you omit a strange body odor) I eat 2-3 servings of oatmeal or oatmeal bars. And tons of carrots.

I also started pumping every 3 hrs the day my milk came in. I can now produce 6-8 oz off each breast each time I pump. And my son is only 4 weeks old and I have over 300 oz stored for when I go back to work in 8 weeks.

It's actually really rare not to produce enough milk. Don't get freaked out. Even without any "extras" you should produce plenty. The best way to establish supply is to nurse on demand, which will likely feel like all the time in those first weeks. It's also good to make sure you drink plenty of water.

Honestly just nurse nurse nurse. Theirs may not have come in because they supplemented or pumped and gave baby a bottle instead of exclusively breastfeeding. Taking too much of the stuff that's "supposed" to help can hurt your supply. The hospital offers lactation consultants and they are usually very helpful.

A lot of hospitals have a list of foods that help and foods that hurt milk production. You might ask your OBGYN or call a women's center to see if they have one.

You need to nurse right away and drink lots of water and eat oatmeal. My daughter is only seven weeks old as of today. I have very small breasts and my breast are producing so much milk it's crazy. I've become engorged almost daily. Your friends probably tried to exclusively pump or didn't nurse enough. It's actually very rare that women just don't produce milk. Our bodies are made for this. You have to do it the right way though. My lactation consultant told me to at least give it 1 to 2 months before I try to pump. Give yourself time to let your milk supply build up and do not get discouraged. Also make sure your baby is latched well and in the correct positions.
