Excessive Amniotic Fluid?

Question

Has anyone else been told they have too much amniotic fluid? My doctor said my fluid is measuring 29cm, and that 25cm is the normal range cutoff. Dr. Google says some pretty scary stuff about having too much fluid, so any reassurance is appreciated!

I did after a growth scan, next scan week later showed fluid was fine and back to normal. tip: don't google! I know its hard but its the pits!

Majority of the time it’s not an issue😊 the fear is that something other than his/her head comes down first (hand, face or cord) which does ultimately result in a c-section. It can be scary, but more often than not the outcome is perfectly fine! And on a side note, it’s actually extremely common for them to have the cord wrapped around their neck or another body part and once again doesn’t usually cause any issue. There are sooo many things that are entirely out of our control during pregnancy, so just try to relax & focus on the things you CAN control😊

ive been told the same thing! they also told me that baby boy is small and in the 8th percentile. im meeting with a high risk doc on the 2nd. i dont know much yet ill keep you updated!

I have the opposite problem - I have 10 cm of fluid where 8 cm is like the minimum you should have. Anyways, if your doctor didn’t say it’s a problem, then I’m sure you’re fine. As long as you’re within the normal range, even if high, and they aren’t concerned, then don’t worry!
