Every time my 16 month old goes to my in laws' house to visit, 2 days later he gets sick with diarrhea that lasts for days. It's definitely not something he's eating there. Dad is convinced it is because Nana watches 2 cousins and he thinks the other kids get our kid sick. I have been trying to convince him that it's just a coincidence, but now it's happened too many times that I'm starting to think it could actually have something to do with their house. We even stopped going there for about a month and he was diarrhea free the whole time. This week we went back for the first time, and now he has diarrhea again. The only thing I can think of is that he plays with a play kitchen and play food when there - could it be some sort of nasty virus that is persisting on the play food? Any guesses what could it be????? When he was very sick with it around New year's we had his stool tested and no bacteria or parasites were detected, so the doctors assumed it was viral. Also, he was vaccinated for Rotovirus, but I understand vaccines aren't 100%. It's just so strange that it's literally every time we go there. Curious to know what you ladies' think and what you would do in my situation.
