Anyone?

Question

I’m currently starting my 6th cycle of Clomid and pretty sure my specialist is going to want to try metformin next which I’ve never tried. After two years trying, I’m really starting to get discouraged and feeling like this is never going to happen no matter what I do 😔. I’ve still got options (metformin, IUI and IVF) but the emotional toll is sometimes more than I can handle. 
Has anyone ever been in this situation and gone of to conceive with metformin instead? Or vise versa? Or did you have to do IUI or IVF?

i took clomid for 4 months (each month a higher dose) when i was already on metformin for my pcos. it did nothing for me. i lost almost 40lbs quit taking metformin and then only took clomid. after the 3rd month (1st month at 150mg) i got pregnant.  We are trying again and the clomid did nothing for me again. so now I'm going back on my diet to try to lose some more weight and hopefully three clomid will work.

I did 4 cycles of Clomid, 3 of which with metformin.  The metformin helped me ovulate. However, I did not get pregnant. I ended up taking a short break before going to see a specialist. So starting this round with Femara and trigger shot.

Has he put u on a higher dose of clomid or did he just let the clomid dose stay the same every time u took it? I have seen stories where the women switched and right away got pregnant on the new meds :) baby dust .. I hope this helped
