Gender surprise????

Question

my boyfriend doesn't want to find out the gender until the baby is born. anyone done this before?  Someone said, "there are so few real surprises in life, it might be amazing to wait to find out."              I'm thinking my mom or someone could find out so that they can purchase some gender specific things....not sure. but he really doesn't want to know. it's a 1st child for both of us. Opinions? ??

We didn’t find out with our first. I had take home outfits for both genders and just returned the girl one later. I hate having to stay home with newborns so I just went a couple days after he was born to get some “boy” outfits. 
It was my husband who wanted to wait to find out. I wasn’t on board at first, but it was actually a lot of fun and I’m so glad we didn’t find out!

We aren't finding out this time. I'm finding that the grey and teal outfits for gender neutral are the cutest. I'm getting all the essentials and just a few outfits gender neutral and putting away money to get gender specific clothes after baby is born

We didn't find out with our first and it made the whole experience so much more exciting! will never forget the moment my partner told me it was a girl, we found out with no 2 and i regretted it, we didn't have that magic moment at birth finding out and then sharing the news with everyone! baby no 3 is our last so we want the experience of not knowing again 🤗

I found out with my first because we needed stuff. With our security bed I insisted red on a surprise. It was amazing and I'm never finding out again.

I’m the in the same boat but this is my 2nd. Husband really wants it to be a surprise. My advice is to tell no-one, not even your mom. All it takes is for one other person to know to leak it to others, intentionally or not. I find myself having to pause before I talk about baby, so that I don’t accidentally slip and use a gender-specific pronoun. Hang in there!

I think holding out is great! I don’t have the will power to wait haha I rather my kid not be in gender neutral stuff but that’s just my personal opinion. I’m a planner and yes you can plan without knowing but I would love to get boy or girl specific clothing instead of just yellow, green and white.
If you can hold out, do it!
