Should articles like this be approved for publication?
So, I was scrolling through Twitter this morning and was absolutely shocked to see this article from BBC News (World):

The article actually goes on to speak about how the women’s Nigerian Team competing in the Winter Olympics Bobsledding, weren’t actually born in Nigeria - their families are from Nigeria and they were born in the United States.
Within the article, there is criticism that some athletes are choosing to represent their parents and families home countries as a step for over night fame.
However, in The Olympics there are no rules against choosing to represent your families country, as opposed to the country you’re born in.

In relation to the title question, while reading the article’s title and contents, I started to question why this article was allowed to be published in the first place.
In my opinion, the article seemed like it was written with the sole intention to discredit the achievements of Seun, Ngozi and Akuoma in becoming the first team to represent an African country in the Winter Olympics.
As it is not against Olympic rules to represent a country separate from your birth country, I just don’t understand why this article was written in the first place. It seems full of biases and written with bad intentions.
Plus the generalisation of “Africans” in the title is just racist in my opinion.
Anyways, what’s your opinion CC?
