Spotting or rough sex?

So I’ve been on the pill for about three or so months. I haven’t noticed any spotting (nor have I ever had it before) but I noticed some brownish blood yesterday. It was gone by night. Then this morning, I had quite rough sex with my boyfriend. I’ve never bled from intercourse, but there was that brownish blood again when we finished. It’s very faint now but idk whether i’m bleeding from spotting on the pill, or sex, or something else. I haven’t experienced any other symptoms.
