Any ladies suffer from gran mal seizures?

I'm 29 and had my 1st gran mal seizure Nov  4, 2014 at 3am, had an EEG, CAT scan, MRI, & blood work but they couldn't find the cause so I didn't want to take the medicine because of its bad side effects. I had 2 more seizures Feb 16 2015, 1st at 3am again and 2nd at 11am. All 3 where while I was sleeping. Sadly still have no cause but I do take medicine but my husband & I want to start a family but I'm now worried about what the medicine can do to a baby. Anyone have any helpful info? I would greatly appreciate it

My sister has gran mal. Hereditary epilepsy. She took her medication for seizures out of safety. The benefits outweigh any risk of her having a seizure while pregnant and losing the baby. When you have a seizure you're not breathing, and your baby could die. Think about the risk.

My sister gave birth to a healthy 9 pound baby girl.

Most of my family has seizures. My cousin has had 3 kids and been on meds and it's never affected them. If you're worried about passing on seizures then both mother and father side have to have the gene that's how all my siblings got it even if both have it it's still possible for kids to not get it at all like me and some of my cousins. I'm sure everything will be fine. Good luck!
