Fussy 2 month old- is this a normal phase?

Hi all, up until my baby was 7 weeks old he hardly ever fussed and was so easy. The last week he has been so much more fussy. It seems like its when he's tired and he fights himself to go to sleep. So maybe it's my fault for not getting him on a nap schedule. But I'm wondering has anyone noticed this around 7 or 8 weeks? Any tips? He's been eating every 4 hours during the day but now it's more like 3 bc if he freaks out and won't stop crying breastfeeding will always make him calm down. Thanks for any advice or input!

Yep. We went through that for 2 weeks. Weeks 6 and 7. And then it passed.

Also, they need way more milk during growth spurt, he might be crying to tell you he needs more calories

If he has no fever or does not seem to be in pain then I would say it is just a growth spurt, it will soon go back to normal

my 11 week old is like this now and he keeps fighting his sleep. He'll be screaming so much that I have to walk around the house bouncing him until he gives in and falls asleep

When babies get to the age where they realise that stuff is actually going on around them they get this massive fear of missing out and they start to fight sleep as you've seen. My son is awful for it, he's three months and bed time still makes me almost suicidal. I just try to make the room as boring as possible- no light other than the lamp, no people, no noise, no telly, and no talking unless it's to soothe him or its hushed

I’m in the same boat with my 2 month old. My little guy eats about 4oz every 3 hrs he starts getting fussy after 1 1/2 hrs. He won’t nap! I lay him down when he seems sleepy and he naps for 10-15 min then starts crying.
