Daughter is coughing so bad at night! Tips?

My daughter has had a cough for probably going on 2 weeks now. She went to the doctor shortly before week 1. The doctor called in some medicine for my nebulizer since she has a little wheeze with it but she REFUSES to put it in her mouth to breathe it in and I just have to let it blow into her face hoping she’s breathing some in. It’s so bad at night that its constantly waking her up. I’ve used Zarbee’s honey cough/mucous medicine and it’s done nothing. So what helps with your little ones when they’ve got a bad cough? I’ve ran a Vick’s humidifier in her room a few times at night hoping to relieve her some.
