Gas or baby movement?!

So why is it when I tell people I’m feeling tickles and flutters as my baby moves at a little over 12 weeks that a common response is it’s “just gas”.

Never in my life have when gassy has it ever tickled. Never in my life when gassy have I ever had to scratch my stomach to get to the tickled feeling inside. Never in my life has gas caused me to smile as warmth spreads to my heart knowing there’s a baby growing and moving inside of me.

Yes, it is rare to feel my baby move so early especially this being my first pregnancy, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. 🙄
