Bitch at the Dr!

I need to vent! My husband and I are pregnant with our first, we are beyond excited and found out relatively early. I requested an appointment with my doctor and was given her earliest date of April 9th, which puts me at 11 weeks, 5 days. She also put me on the waitlist if someone were to cancel. I was a little shocked that my first appointment would be so late and asked if there was anything sooner, if I could see a physician’s assistant or even another doctor in the same practice. All the receptionist said was ‘No, you’re on the wait list...’. I explained that my family has history of low progesterone and if there was anything I could do to get in earlier. ‘No, you’re on the waitlist.’ Is this normal? I want to punch her!

UPDATE! Changed doctors and got in at 8 weeks 2 days (yesterday)... good thing I switched. Sonogram revealed TWINS! So glad I switched. Turns out my new doc is a multiple master! Slightly freaking out about TWO babies but also extremely excited!!!
