I went on birth control in my late teens for very heavy, painful periods (they were 10 days long...yikes!). Now I’m 30 and just had my second period off the pill.

My new cycle is still regular, 28 days, but I’m only getting a couple days of heavy bleeding and maybe 4 days total (and that’s a stretch, counting days of spotting).

I briefly went off the pill a couple times over the years and my usual, debilitating period would hit the same month I stopped the pills. But now that we’re TTC of course it’s different.

Has anyone else experienced these suddenly shorter periods? Is this just happening because I’m older and this is my new normal, or am I still recovering from the BC pill?

I just don’t have a “gut feeling” that I’m ovulating...if that makes any sense. I used to feel particularly frisky in the middle of my cycle. I’m going to order a kit.
