diaper rash??

my baby boy is a week old today. his poor little bum is soo red and he cries really hard when changing him. ive been using a cream that doesn't seem to be helping. what can i do ? or what creams actually help

try aquaphor and oatmeal baths help,and if your baby boy is breastfed put a lil bit of the milk in the bath too

I went through something similar. My little one is 7 weeks and we just had her first diaper rash. Immediately I thought to rely on diaper cream. we also did breast milk baths however they would get better but the increased use of the cream made it worst again. I was told by another mom to actually allow the area to dry out on it's own without cream. the dryness will create peeling which will eventually peel away and it worked! However I do have a girl so I'm not sure if there's a difference but try it out!

there is this cream called diaper rash it is really good cream you can try that!! my daughter had really bad diaper rash and we tried all creams (desitin,A&D;,butt paste etc) none of those worked diaper rash worked best but I went as far as change the wipes the diapers laundry detergent because i wasn't sure what it was from here I found out she was getting a rash from the pizza sauce I have been eating because I am breast feeding I stopped eating that pizza and used that cream and it cleared right up so if you are breast feeding becareful because it could be from something you are also!! good luck!
