I’m 11 weeks and still haven’t seen a midwife is this normal? UK 🇬🇧

So I’m 11 weeks today and I recieved a letter about 2 weeks ago from my local midwives saying the midwife allocated to me is on holiday and will ring me when she’s back but it also states on the letter that if I’m 11 weeks I need to ring asap but they aren’t answering the phone.
This is my first pregnancy and I’m starting to worry. I went for a private early scan as I was so nervous and she said everything seemed normal but aren’t there blood tests/other tests I need done before I’m 12 weeks?
This is so frustrating, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

You normally have bloods done around 10 weeks they are just bloods to check all your levels and if you have any diseases, so im sure they will be done soon, 
I don’t think they have a cut off date as such;
My first app was when I was  9ish weeks literally went in bloods and height and weight then midwife books a home visit where she comes for a chat then takes all your family medical history while she’s there. Next time is 16 weeks I think! X

It’s a lot different to how they do it in america. We do not check HCG levels. You’ll have a scan at 12 weeks, Doppler at 16 week appt and scan at 20 weeks and after 30 weeks you see your midwife 2 weekly

Geez, they didn’t check placement? what if it had been an ectopic pregnancy?! I’m in the US and I had had 3 appts with 2 sonograms by 11 weeks. Granted, I’ve paid thousands of dollars out of pocket already 😔

it's a bit odd go see yours docs they can at least do bloods now. Then keep calling midwives another idea is try calling midwife dept at your local laboyr and delivery maternity unit they seem to of messed up in my eyes I seen my midwife at around 9-10 week ish.

Did it say when your allocated midwife will be back in the office? I would say if you see them before 12 weeks you're good. My doctor here in the US won't see new moms for their first appointment until 10-12 weeks, unless you have a history of miscarriages then they will see you earlier.

I'm in Ireland . . I'm currently 11 weeks and my appointment is for when I'm 14 weeks. We got an early scan too because I thought it was too long to wait.
