So i was given the chance to see if i wanted to test for down syndrome but i declined the test , is it too late to see if i can actually still test?

I would ask. I did it just because it was better to be prepared in case my baby had the needs. I am not worried or afraid of it but I felt its best to know and prepare as best we can for anything.

The NT scan for Down syndrome has to be done at 12 weeks, I got mine done at 12 w 5 days and that was the last day I could’ve had it done. It also comes with bloodwork. So you have 5 days to let your OB know

I think you have up until week 14 to do it, it depends on the translucency of the neck. Call and ask.

How many weeks are you? The nuchal translucency test for Down syndrome needs to be done by 13+5.  But you can still get the blood test done its just wayyyyy more expensive.

If you decline youll prbly have to pay out of pocket esp if your dr reports the decline to your insurance

I was also given the option to, I said I'll take the referral and decide with my husband but I am so nervous of the test I am low risk so I'm sure it's fine however in still so nervous
