Ok so last night I was texting this guy that I used to talk to and he's looking for a new job. I mentioned that I thought he applies to jobs that have help wanted signs in front or something bc he's previously told me he goes out and looks for jobs instead of just looking on the internet..

He completely flipped his shit and told me that he was insulted, it was the dumbest question he's ever been asked and explained to me that he's 32 yrs old and he's not a kid looking for jobs.

Honestly, I still don't understand why he was so insulted! He works customer sevice jobs like restaurants and things so if there was a viable option while I was out looking and it had a help wanted sign in front why wouldn't I apply?

Is there some type of stigma against jobs that post help wanted signs I don't know about? I know they are usually little shops or family owned businesses but what's wrong with that? A job is a job if you're looking right ?? Please help !!
