C-section possibility.

Hi all, I have my first midwife appointment this coming Wednesday I'll be a day off 8 weeks. Anyway, with my first baby I had to have an emergency C-section as I wasn't dilating past like 6-7cm. This was at 41 weeks and 4 days. and she was hospitalised for 3 weeks and 2 days over two different nicu. Well I wondering if I could request a c section this time around and at around 39 weeks so I don't have the risk of going into labour naturally and it all being a rush again. I know it's really early to be thinking about all this but I don't want things to go wrong again and end up with my new baby on a ventilator again.. It's taken me almost 5 years to want to be pregnant again.
