Does formula fed baby still need iron supplements?

I've been feeding my baby only HIPP Combiotic formula from Germany. Baby is currently 8 months. I'm worried there's not enough iron in this formula. It says for every 100ml, there's .5mg of iron. Is this enough? 
Hopefully someone out here knows...

I’ve personally never understood the point of supplements for babies and toddlers. Our daughter is also formula fed. She’s 9 months old and I’ve never been concerned about her not getting enough iron. There are so many foods that have iron in them so as long as you’re feeding them well balanced meals, there’s no need for supplements.
