What causes a miscarriage. :(

I had my first miscarriage.. I’m so heartbroken and sad
I have 2 babies already that had no problems I’m only 27..
I got pregnant first try for all pregnancies but...
I went in for my 8 week appointment and baby didn’t have a heartbeat, they stopped growing at 6 weeks
What happened? Why didn’t I bleed? I want answers my doctor said she doesn’t know
I’m so sad, I really want a 3rd baby. What does this mean for my future

usually it's just a chromosome problem. It's nothing you did and nothing they can do to help in cases like that.

I am sorry. I wish there was a better answer but when the body recognizes that a bad genetic match between sperm and egg happened and the fetus is not going to grow right it stops. It's the most common form, I had the same.in August. The good news is that it is very uncommon to happen more than once in a row, and you will be more fertile after. I am 16 weeks now after my loss, it was very difficult but the why and silver lining helped me.

I had a MMC at 14 weeks with my first daughter. Before she passed away I had genetics testing done and she came back high risk for something called “monosomy x” it’s a rare genetic disorder only girls can get. It was caused by her father’s sperm not dividing properly so she only had one “X” chromosome. It affected her heart so her heart stopped, I was already expecting on losing her because it’s even more rare for the girls to survive this and you usually end up miscarrying in the first tri. I had to have a d&c; so she was sent off for further testing and it was confirmed it was the “monosomy x”. I had never even heard of it until my daughter had it, there was no family history on her dad’s side of it or mine either. So miscarriages usually are caused by chromosomal defects that a lot of girls aren’t aware of, if I wouldnt have gotten genetics testing I wouldn’t have known.

Miscarriages are typically caused by some type of chromosomal issue. It’s nothing you did, but unfortunately is not preventable. Good news is that doesn’t mean you won’t have your third child! Most people go on to have healthy pregnancies and babies.
