breast feeding

my left breast today has been super irritaded on one side its really red and hard ive tried messaging it while i pump but it is still extremely tender. ive tried pumping it a little longer and its super tender when i pump so i tried taking a hot shower and it relieved it a little but im still in pain and i noticed a little bit of like a gooy discharge around my breast and some yellowish in my breast pad when i changed it... any advice and is it still safe to feed my daughter from that side or should i pump and dump?
