How will you punish you little one?

I'm just curious on how you all will be/have been with your kids when they do something bad.

A combination of all of those depending on the situation. Sometimes timeouts and talks just don't work.

I voted spanking. It was how me and my brothers were raised as toddlers we got spanked or popped on the hands. At the the age of 5+ we got whooped with a belt, or switch, or shoe hell anything my grandmother or ma could find.  We all have the same rare disability... respect for others. Lol😄 I plan to do the same with my child. Yes it hurt but you know I grew up respecting my elders saying yes ma'am no ma'am when my grandmother or ma said get off the games or come inside for dinner we did not hesitate when we back talked we got smacked in the lips and we learned not to after that.

My mom went with a lot of natural consequences. Cut your own hair? Your hair looks dumb for awhile. Broke your toy because you were careless? Bummer, guess you don't get to play. Refuse to go to the bathroom? Then you have an accident later. Don't like dinner? Be hungry. I got spanked maybe twice. Don't remember what I did, but know I didn't do it again. When I did rude or disrespectful things, we talked it out. She talked a lot about what consequences my actions may have, telling me when I was younger and having me tell her as I got older. 
I teach preschool and use Becky Bailey's Conscious Discipline with my students. It works a lot on learning self regulation skills and recognizing how their actions may make others feel.

Well I have nothing against parents who choose to spank their child to a certain extent,Personally I never was when I was a kid nor my husband and I had great manners as a kid toward everyone and anyone especially my parents of coarse.I have a 5 yr old who is very respectful and has amazing manners without the spanking/pops.I feel timeouts and talks really do work with certain children and I refuse to do otherwise I'm pregnant with baby #2 and same rules will follow.

I guess it's a bit of a controversial subject, but I just want to say that I have never been hit, spanked or even tapped in my entire life and I still have respect for others. My mother and father talked to me and explained things to me so I could understand, rather than saying "because I say so" or "because I'm your mother, that's why". I have never thrown a temper tantrum (well, maybe in my teens!) and as I said, I have respect for other people. I understand some people's opinions about spanking, but my husband and I won't be doing so. He was spanked as a child and he lived in fear a lot and didn't have a very good relationship with his parents. I had a very happy childhood and have turned out just fine without any physical harm.

All,,, can't just do one I'd rather talk it out before anything but I do all the above. Not so much spanking but if the others don't work then yes. But very rarely do I spank.
