Spotting?

Af was due yesterday. I had light spotting on Wednesday, yesterday, and then again today. This is so unlike me, I never have spotting, Especially for 3 days? Had a bfn on Wednesday morning. I was going to take another hpt tomorrow morning if period doesn't start. Thoughts? So confused!
