Induction Nerves

So to begin, I am a FTM who has been anxiously awaiting my time for a natural birth. Currently 38w4d. I had my doctors appt the other day & my doctor suggested an induction next week. I wanted to quickly say no (I don’t have a serious medical condition) but after weighing the options (I have PUPPS, my doctor will be out of town for weeks 40 & 41 & im still completely closed so I will probably be late, my husband & my sister will both be in town, & it would help to accommodate with our work schedules), I am strongly considering it. I know I’m going to get backlash for this & I am really pushing myself down for even considering saying yes. I guess i am looking for induction stories from anyone who was completely closed going into an induction. She told me I’d be starting medications Tuesday night but would have a long labor through Wednesday if I decided to do it. Not sure what to really expect..
