Did I tip too much?

So I got a tattoo yesterday that was $300, and I tipped him 80$. Is that too generous?

I think it's fine, especially if you're gonna go back to him for more.. he'll remember you tip good and he'll be happy to have you come back

I always tip about 25% on mine. Only one of my tattoos was a "I want this" walk in the rest I've had at least one consultation and my artists have created the rest all big pieces. I really like my shop and artists I go to so I tip a lot. Plus I work in service and people hardly ever tip even when I got way out of my way to help and it is irritating so I make sure people know I'm grateful for what they did

Can’t understand all these people saying they never tip. I tipped 20 on an 80 tattoo it’s just the right thing to do. Especially if your tattoo artist did a good job and made the experience better for you
