I need some help

i’m “talking” to this guy. i don’t really know what to call it but I like him. we have known each other for years but just recently reconnected. we started texting and ended up sending nudes. (i’m not gonna lie. I did it and I know it’s not good but I did and there’s nothing i can do about it) so my best friend and him are friends and i want to tell her so bad. I asked him and he said no. and he got really mad. I just want to tell her that we are talking. I won’t say anything more but he still won’t let me. he’s really upset and has been ignoring me since. I feel like he’s embarrassed to be with me or doesn’t like me and doesn’t want people to know. i’m just at a loss and it really sucks because I like him and don’t want to lose what we have. what should I do and what does this mean??
