My boyfriend doesn’t keep in touch hardly ever. He lives only 20 minutes away and keeps making excuses to not hangout. We haven’t hung out in weeks and he doesn’t respond to my texts and leaves me on read for Snapchat. I feel stupid saying I still like him and I know he’s a super nice person, but all my friends keep telling me that I can’t be with a guy that can’t commit. I really like him but I don’t know what to do. I want to make this work but I don’t know how much more I can take.

i would say bye bye to him. you honestly shouldnt be wasting your time on that guy. you will find someone else, so dont worry about that. him living 20 minutes away and you hardly see each other because of his excuses......... WHAT ARE YOU DOINGGG. that boy should be chasing youu. especially at your age. dont settle for him  just because youre afraid no one else will like you. he cant commit and he isnt making an effort.

I’ve been in the same boat! I would see him once a week, he’d talk to me MAYBE every 6 or 8 hours, and that was only one snapchat back, and by the time he would respond I would forget what I said. I hung out with a group of guys (actual friends, not messing around with any of them) and I explained to him that night that I don’t want to be his acquaintance, I wanted to be his girlfriend. I told him that he very obviously has his top 3 priorities straight, and that I am not any of them. 
Next thing you know, he talks to me almost all day, sees me every other night, and makes a real effort to treat me like a princess. I am absolutely loving this new effort, but it made me think if it took me hanging out with guy friends, or the talk that I gave him. Either way, this boy turned himself around and I hope yours will do the same. Trust your gut! If it ends, then it wasn’t meant to be!
