maybe a promise ring...?

Okay so me and my bf have been dating for almost 2 years and we are really Inlove. Okay so my birthday was a little over a month ago and he said he had a “big surprise” for me..come to find out he said that “big surprise” that he “ordered” it too late and it won’t be in until next week so he’s give it to me on Valentines. Then Valentine’s Day came and he said it “wasn’t ready yet”. Well ever sense then he hasn’t given it to me and I’ve been play bugging him like “oh wheres my surprise”. But my bff said he asked for my ring size and he said it’s small and you wear it and was over $100. And I really think it’s a promise ring. He recently said “it’s not ready yet Bc there was something that had to be fixed” and I think it was Bc he got the size wrong. What do y’all think?? :)
