Should your partner pay for your birth control ?

I have a friend who is 16 years old and her FATHER just found out that she was having sex with her boyfriend . Her dad told her bf that he was gonna need to buy her birth control . She thinks it’s kind of dumb and unfair. But I think its a good idea because most of the time they have unprotected sex . 
What’s your guy’s opinion?

don't have unprotected sex at 16? like idk what else there is? generally you pay for your bc and he pays for condoms and, God forbid, plan b

unprotected sex is more protected with birth control. I did it for 2 years and only got pregnant after stopping birth control completely. her boyfriend shouldn’t have to pay for her contraceptives because it comes from a doctor but I guess that’s their decision

If they have unprotected sex as it is, telling him to buy her birth control isn’t going to change anything

Idk why she can't just get the birth control herself. 
I'm sure she has insurance? If not it's really not that expensive. 
You could do a $45 doctors visit online and pick up the birth control for $9 at Walmart.
