Nuvaring storage...

Hi, I’m new to this birth control. My dr gave me just one to try it out but I plan on this being my BC. My friend gets a prescription for three months so she stores the other two in the refrigerator.

Is this really necessary ? I read it can be kept at room temperature. I’m just not sure, I have an appointment tomorrow and I’ll ask, I just wanted to know in advanced.

I wouldn’t like to keep mine in the refrigerator because my mom (very christian woman who’s against sex before marriage, therefore she doesn’t know I’m on bc) is always cleaning the fridge and she might find them.
