SHAVED DOWN THERE FIRST TIME

So I decided that I was tired of all the hair so I decided to shave down there I read somewhere that it good to use conditioner So I did. Today (I shaved last night man what a difference) my vagina is red with bumps which I know are razor bumps. It itches and hair is allready coming back :( . The bumps look like there going to come open. So I want to know what to do to make it not so painful and itchy and how to prevent this when shaving in the future.
