Did not go to PCP

Question

So I didn’t go to my PCP to confirm my pregnancy.. I’m 5 weeks today and I have an appointment April 4th with my OBGYN. Am I the only one who is going straight to the OBGYN?

I went straight to a midwife. I don’t understand the “need” to confirm pregnancy with a doctor.

With my insurance and how the military hospitals work you have to have it confirmed with a PCP before you can even schedule with a OB. So I had to had it confirmed, but I scheduled my OB appointment that same day :)

Same! I went to ER to confirm my spotting wasn’t a miscarriage, but other than that I confirmed my pregnancy there, and my first appt isn’t until April 6! I’m about 5 weeks too

I was already seeing the ob for Clomid treatments, I had one authorized visit left so they're going to do my ultrasound the 3rd and make sure everything is ok. after that tricare won't pay for me to go off post, so I'll have to see my pcm and they'll either refer me to the ob on post, or get authorization for off post visits if that office is full. But eventually I'll have to see my pcm, I'm hoping I get referred back to the ob I have because he's wonderful, but we'll see how it happens.

I went to straight to Obgyn with my first pregnancy and this pregnancy lol I don’t have a PCP && heck that’s what obgyns are for haha so I just skip the middle man 😂😂

I just went to the OBGYN at 8 weeks. I don't even have a PCP, lol.

I am going straight to my OB too. No point in paying for an appointment just to be referred to an OB.
