19 & married?

Am I crazy for wanting to marry my boyfriend of 3 years and start a family with him at only 19? His family tells us we should wait but they support us and I have yet to tell my family because my parents are strict. I’m so ready to spend the rest of my life with him. We don’t see the point of waiting if we know this is what we want

It’s not like we’re jumping into a pool of nothing. We started a joint bank account and we have an apartment his parents own. We really thought this out and I’m ready and he says he is too. I just don’t know what to do about my parents

My mom once said “if you guys are really meant to waiting won’t matter”. If you guys are wanting to get married and spend years and years together, you would okay spending years together before getting married too. Obviously you guys have already spent so much time together but giving even more time won’t hurt anyone either. In the end it’s up to you guys! I hope you guys have a happily ever after!

No way! I’m 22 and my now fiancé is 23. We got after only dating 2 months. We will get married after 9 months of knowing each other, but I feel like he is my soul mate and he’s the right man for me. We talked about having a family right after we’re married, and honestly I’d be happy to start a family with him. If you KNOW in your heart and soul he’s meant to be yours, then follow it and marry him! Life is short, enjoy it with the people who love you most.

If that’s what you feel is right, then go for it. I’d say make sure you guys can support yourselves and kind of have a plan of what you want the next ten years to look like- sometimes you’d be surprised at what your partner’s goals are. I also recommend premarital counseling to anyone I know who’s getting married. It helps bring up how you feel about different situations that you may not have thought about.
