mom doesn't want me to move.

I'm just about finished with community college and will be transferring to a university. I was thinking of transferring to a specific university that is across the country from where I currently live. I'm absolutely torn because my brother had just passed a year ago and my mom is refusing me from going to school outside of the state. She's utterly depressed because the loss of her son and she'll only feel worse if I leave. But this university is offering so much and it's a credible school. I care about my progression but I also care about my mother's wellbeing.. what should I do?
