spotting & late period, tubes tied

Ladies, I'm lost on what to do as my Dr. won't see me until the leftover balance I owe from my previous pregnancy 15 months ago is paid off completely. I've recently had light pink spotting the last 2 weeks, only lasting less than a day, each time it's happened (twice). I've had my tubes cut & burned during my csection 15 months ago. I have no pain, and my period is now 3 days late. Usually, I'm not worried about it bc it's sometimes a day or so late since the tubal. The spotting is new...and now I worry about ectopic pregnancy (webmd demon fed this info to me). Should I take a pregnancy test? I heard even in ectopic pregnancies, you will still test positive if pregnancy has happened...HELP!!
