Can clomid have the opposite effect?

Help!

I was getting positive ovulation tests before taking clomid, but I was ovulating almost exclusively on my right ovary. That’s a problem because I lost my right fallopian tube after an ectopic pregnancy, so my doc put me on clomid to try and stimulate that left side more.

I took it from days 2-7, had another positive ovulation test and did my part. Now I’ve missed my period (which I never do) but I’ve taken two pregnancy tests and they’re both negative. What gives?! Is this a side effect of clomid? Can it have delayed my period or have had the opposite effect? Worried I’ve messed my cycle up and feeling discouraged over here.
