Do you reduce, reuse, recycle?

na

So I was watching Sid the Science Kid on YouTube with my daughter. This show has actually become one of me favorite.

The episode we were watching was about what happens to trash. It talked about how landfills work and the process paper, plastic, and metal go through when being recycled.

Honestly it was a super cool reminder of what I’d learn when I was young. I’d recommend watching just to be refreshed.

But it got me thinking about how I was raised. My parents never put a huge emphasis on recycling, never took conscious efforts to reduce what they use, and only recycled if they didn’t need to go out of their way to do so.

After watching this, I’ve become more cautious of what I use and how I use it. It’s important for me to be a good example to my children in this way!

My question is, do you try your hardest to do all three? Why of why not?

My parents reasoning was always because they felt it makes no difference if not everyone is doing it. However, I am glad to say they have since made steps to at least recycle.

Bonus: if you reduce and reuse, what are some way you do this? Most people see these steps as a little more difficult.

As for myself, if I buy something in a glass container, I usually will wash it and keep it for other food items.
