Csection while in labor?

Question

I had my now 19 month old via C-section because of low fluid at 40+1. This time around, I have a scheduled C-section on Monday, April 2nd. My due date is Saturday, March 30th.
Has anyone ever had their C-section scheduled after their due date? 
I'm afraid of going in labor. 
Isnt it less dangerous is you have your C-section while not in labor??

I had mine done at 10cm dilated but baby was too big

My first daughter was several days late. They induced me and was in labor for a few hours before they decided to go for a Csection due to baby in distress. They do it all the time

Yes, plenty of people have emergency C-sections while in labor. But generally with scheduled C-sections, they schedule you earlier because operating on a contracting uterus is more dangerous than a non contracting one.

Well considering your first child is almost 20 months, it would be okay to do a vaginal birth if that’s what you wanted. But I guess yes a repeat c section is considered safer

That's very unusual. I have never heard of a scheduled c section after your due date. You don't want to end up with general anesthesia because there's not enough time to get you prepped. I would definitely ask your dr why they're not scheduling it at 39 weeks  (which is standard)
