Ammonia & hair dye ?!

Hey guys!
So I’m getting a partial highlight tomorrow. I asked if they used ammonia and the lady told me yes, but they don’t go to the root with it for pregnant women. She also told me she’s done many highlights for pregnant women and it’s safe.
Any thoughts on ammonia + hair dye?

it's fine, the only thing people worry about is the fumes from the ammonia. but most hair salon are wide open and well ventilated because it's obviously dangerous for regular people to breathe those fumes on a regular basis too. I dye my own hair and do my roots but the dye I use has no ammonia in it and uses Henna as a base instead. it's better for pregnancy but I also cannot STAND the smell of ammonia even before I was pregnant so it just works better for me lol. 😊
