If I take my birth control at different times of they day will I still be protected?

I'm super paranoid I'll end up knocked up and I'm just wondering if I take my combination pill at different times every day will I still be protected against pregnancy? a few weeks ago I took it at 4 pm one day then 2 pm the next as opposed to my usual 7 am and I was wondering if I would still be protected. I came into contact with some semen on my vagina 3-4 days later and now its around 10 days later and I feel a little crampy in my lower abdomen. any chance thats IB? Super nervous as I am only 16! help!

You need to take the pill at roughly the same time for it to be properly effective. I used to do this (thankfully i wasn’t active it was meant to be for cramps) and it made me so sick from not taking it correctly. Either take it correctly or find something that works better for you. Personally i use the app my pill which sends a notification telling you to take it at whatever time you select so you do it at the same time daily. You also track if you took it and you can mark if it was late/missed and such.

best to take it same time every day for it to be in your system at therapeutic levels. you're not fully protected if you take it at different times a day and that's how women get pregnant. very common. if you forget try another method or set an alarm.
