Sleeping in my arms

My baby, 4 1/2 weeks, doesn’t like to sleep in his bassinet, so I spend a good chunk of each night putting him to sleep while holding him and then trying to transfer him to the bassinet, which sometimes works and a lot of times doesn’t. The issue is I’m falling asleep trying to put him to sleep. So he ends up spending most of the night sleeping in my arms as I sleep too.

Any tips on getting him to sleep in the bassinet? Not fall asleep while putting him to sleep? Also do you do this too? Am I an awful mother for sleeping this way?

Also he doesn’t like to be swaddled and won’t take it pacifier, so the only thing to really comfort and sooth him is momma.
