So what happened right before your baby started walking?

I mean in the day or two before they took those first steps? Anything? Or did it just happen unexpectedly?

At 10 months my son just got up and started going and he fell a couple times but at the end of the week he got it down
He was crawling since 5 months and standing since 7 months so we expected him to walk before 1

My son had been practicing taking a couple steps from daddy to me then the day before Christmas my nephew and niece came to visit and my son was very upset he was not the center of attention, so as my mom grabbed my niece my son got up and started walking to her so she could hold him and not my niece lol. That’s all it took 😂 after that he has not stopped running around

Our daughter will be walking any day now. Definitely not unexpected here haha she was pulling to stand at 7 months. By 8 months she could stand up without pulling up on anything and could walk across the room holding our hands no problem. Same with walking along furniture. Buy for some reason she refuses to do it on her own 😂 she’ll be 10 months next week and we’re very surprised she’s not walking yet. yesterday she took multiple steps on her own so it’s really just waiting now haha we practice it with her every day.

We got our daughter proper walking shoes from a place that sized and fit her. Before that she was taking steps but when she would fall would just crawl away. Once she got those shoes on she hasn’t stopped walking, it was immediate. It’s like she was off to something important still cracks me up😂

Happened unexpectedly for us. 
She started standing in the middle of the living room without using anything to help her about 4 weeks prior. It got to a point where she kept standing up unassisted and then one day finally got brave enough to take a step.
