So I’m trying to decide on a career path.

So I really want to be a writer. My dream is to actually write a novel at one point in my life. When I was in high school and when I started college I would always get told that I could write very well but those were essays so it’s different than stories. I’m currently in university majoring to be an elementary teacher which I wouldn’t mind but I recently realized it’s not my passion and I’d probably be much better off teaching high school. So I’m debating changing my major to English and double major one for literature and the other for creative writing. Then I could work on writing on the side. I’ve been thinking about it but I’m all honesty I’m not sure. I’m scared I’d change my mind later on or something.
